Mechanisms of auditory perception

The objective of this research is to study the human auditory system. The aims are to understand and model the mechanisms underlying auditory percepts such as loudness and pitch, and to improve the coding of sound information in cochlear implants. The application domains cover telecommunication, health, and acoustic comfort.
