About M&S Team
Mihail Garajeu
Aurélien Maurel Pantel
The research conducted in the Materials and Structures team concerns solid mechanics. These research activities include experimental, theoretical and numerical aspects. The research activities cover the characterisation of materials or structures (e.g. fatigue behaviour) and the development of innovative models or modelling tools for the simulation of solid structures at different scales (materials, structures or interfaces).
The main fields of application are transportation, energy and materials production. The team members are also implicated in the common laboratory (with the CEA) MISTRAL, in the Institute of Mechanics and Engineering (AMU) and in the Institute of Fusion Sciences and Instrumentation in Nuclear Environments (AMU-CEA).
The team is structured around five research themes
